Group Leader of Analytical Research - Wockhardt Research Centre
As the Group Leader of Analytical Research at Wockhardt Research Centre in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra, I bring over 28 years of experience in analytical research within the pharmaceutical industry. I hold a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar.
My primary expertise lies in the characterization and qualification of impurities in drug substances and drug products. I specialize in various chromatographic techniques (HPLC, GC), spectroscopic methods (NMR, Mass, IR), method development and validation, and data interpretation and analysis. Ensuring regulatory compliance and maintaining product integrity and safety standards are my top priorities.
In recent years, I have focused on the risk assessment of nitrosamine impurities in drug substances and products. I actively participated in the development of the USP Nitrosamine guideline in December 2022, and my contributions were recognized with a certificate of appreciation from the United States Pharmacopeia (USP).
Throughout my career, I have published several research papers in top peer-reviewed journals such as Taylor & Francis, Springer and MRI Publication. My work has significantly contributed to advancing the understanding and management of impurities in pharmaceuticals.
Outside of my professional life, I am passionate about trekking and am an avid chess player. I am proud to have won the Marathwada Industrial Chess Championship. I am married to Mohini, and we are blessed with two children: our daughter Pratyusha and our son Parikshit, who holds a B.Tech. degree in Computer Science.
